James Malone of Tyrrellspass, County Westmeath, was Michael Collins' favourite 'spy', but he took the Republican side in the Civil War. His book of reminiscences (1913-1921), named B'FHIU AN BRAON FOLA, probably the best of its kind from the period, is hereby translated into English, with complementary notes, by Fr. Pat Twohig, P.P., Churchtown, Mallow, Co. Cork, to complete his SWORD OF LIGHT trilogy on the troubles. (taken from the rear cover)
